About the Event
Khagol Mandal is glad to announce the Overnight Sky Show on 11th MAY 2024 at Sahas Camp, Amboli, Near Tryambakeshwar (Nashik).
The site has superb sky conditions and the chances of visibility of the Milky Way are very high. Come home to Star packed Sky Session with Khagol Mandal!
The program starts at 6.30 pm (IST) and runs up to 5.00 am (IST) next morning. The general outline of the program is as follows:
Tentative Plan: Introduction of Telescopes, Sky Information Session & Observations through Telescope, Audio-Visual Session and also Question / Answer Session
The actual plan may vary depending on seasons and sky conditions.
Regarding Charges:
Charges are as mentioned in the booking window. Note that one can pay for the program only and join and all other components like Dinner, Books, Map etc are optional.
Tea will be made for all participants during Tea Break at night and that is complimentary.
Dadar-Sahas Camp-Dadar Bus:
For ease of travel, we offer a Special Bus from Dadar to the site and back at an additional cost per person.

Paraphernalia Required:
Cold Alert: Even though it is summer it will be cold at the site, be prepared with warm clothes.
You should carry your dinner tiffin (if you have not booked dinner), mattress / chatai for seating on open ground, sweaters, hand gloves, head scarf/muffler, water bottle and Medicine. Carrying mosquito repellant like Odomas is recommended.
Also, it is recommended to carry light snacks for the early morning when we get tea.
Please note that we cannot provide any of the above things at the site.

Please follow these instructions to reach the venue if you are coming from Nashik. When you reach Trimbakeshwar, turn right towards Jawhar. Come straight around 8 kilometres. When you see Gurukrupa Nursery on the right slow down, and turn the right at Waghere Phata. Now please be slow. You will see a village called Bombiltek on the left side. You turn left. You will see the Khagol Mandal Banner and come through Bombiltek Village to the last house. You have to turn left immediately after the last house of Bombiltek. You will see the Khagol Mandal Banner. Please take care here as the turn is not a proper road, it is a small Kachchha road. If you miss this turn you will go to the Ambali valley and may get lost. So please take care.

Terms & Conditions
- Smoking or drinking alcohol is strictly prohibited. Any defaulter will be escorted out of the field and will be prohibited from joining the program. No refunds in case you are prohibited from the program.
- This is an educational initiative and not a luxury trip. All are requested to maintain the spirit of the program and cooperate. No unruly behaviour towards fellow participants will be tolerated.
- Program coupons can be cancelled online. For cancellations, please send an email to support@meraevents.com with a copy to abhay@khagolmandal.com
- 50% charges per person cancellation charges will be deducted if the booking is cancelled by 1800 hrs on 10th May 2024 (Friday)
- No refunds for program or dinner coupons after 1800 hrs on 10th May 2024 (Friday)
- For PAID BUS SERVICE: This is subject to a minimum number of participants who will avail the same. In case of a low response, the organizer will cancel the same and refund the Travel Coupon charges.
- No refund for BUS COUPONS after Wednesday 8th May 2024 even if you cancel the program coupons.
- The final decision on cancellation charges will rest with the organizer.
- If due to any unforeseen circumstances like a train strike, rain, clouds etc., any other natural disaster, political situation, strike or any such other case the program can be curtailed or cancelled. In such event, no refunds will be provided.
- Rain and cloud cover are beyond the control of the organizer and in such cases, one has to wait till the clouds clear.
- Organizers are not responsible for medical issues arising to individuals on the field. The field is an open field and we take care to provide a comfortable atmosphere. All are requested to carry personal medicines and follow instructions related to cold and dewing on the site.
- Khagol Mandal is a voluntary organization working for the past 37 years. This group aims to create awareness amongst our society members. All organizers, speakers, and telescope volunteers are amateur astronomers sparing their time voluntarily for the social cause. All participants are requested to take the efforts in proper spirit and co-operate. We cannot run a smooth show unless every participant supports us.
