Expedition Overview
A journey to remember for lifetime, the Lahaul Spiti Self- Drive Expedition is something that you should surely try at least once in your life. Witness the environment changes occurring during your journey starting from the lush-green environment to the barren land, lands filled with sunlight to the snow-capped mountains with extreme cold you are going to experience each and every bit of adventure here. Visit the traditional villages of spiti and explore its culture and lifestyle closely.
Expedition Details
Arrive at Shoghi and get warm welcome by our expedition handler’s, who will assist you for your hotel check-in and a comfortable stay at Shoghi. Later in the evening get briefing of your dream trip to discover Spiti Valley and stay at Jungle Resort at Shoghi.
After breakfast we will drive towards Narkanda. Narkanda is an area surrounded with orchards and a transit point on the Hindustan tibet road (NH-22). In our way we will visit Tara Devi temple and Narkanda camps Kandyali for adventurous activities. Overnight stay at Narkanda.
After breakfast we will drive towards Sangla, in our way we will come across many temples and monastries. After reaching Sangla you can visit local nearby places.
Today we will be driving towards Shichling. in our way we will be seeing few temples and RibbaKhas waterfalls and will be driving through treacherous roads. So be careful while driving. Night stay at Shichling and Camping at Shichling with bonfire.
And finally we the day comes for which we were waiting since the start of the trip. Today we will be visiting the most awaited Spiti Valley while driving through those world’s most treacherous roads. On our way we will be visiting Spiti river viewpoint and Explore Kaza. After reaching Spiti Valley you have plenty of time to explore it and capture its scenic beauty.
After an early morning breakfast, we leave for the Chandrataal Lake. On our way we cross the Kunzum Pass which is India’s highest motorable pass. Here we visit the shrine of the local Kunzum Goddess. From here, we proceed to the beautiful Chandrataal Lake which is one of the most beautiful lakes in the country. We spend the night at the campsite near Chandrataal Lake
After an early breakfast, we start our drive towards Manali, a popular tourist destination of the country. We cross the Rohtang Pass and finally reach the bustling town where we retire for the night at a comfortable hotel.
Now it’s time to pack your bags and bid a goodbye to your wonderful trip and return to your den.
