Digital storytelling workshop:

Digital storytelling is still a relatively new concept in the market. Digital storytelling is a process wherein, one person has a personal story/ thought/message that they would like to share effectively to a larger group of people. Hence, they choose to use the audiovisual medium to convey the idea in an interesting manner. This digital story could contain anything from photographs/ sound clippings/ interactive content/ moving images/ social media clippings etc. The idea is to creatively use these elements to get across the message.

Visualite Academy is offering an online digital storytelling workshop for which anyone who has interest in the audiovisual medium can enroll. There are no restrictions based on age, gender, educational qualification or prior work experience. The aim of the workshop is to bring together people with different stories and help them come up with a common medium through which they can express their stories.

The class will be conducted online. Each student will be expected to bring a short message/ story/ personal experience to class. This will be brainstormed by all with the class and on an individual basis with the mentor. Then, guidelines will be formed on how to go about making the digital story. Students can take the guidelines and make their digital stories and share it with the mentor and get their feedback on it.
