Week-1:

• Introduction to MS-Excel, Practical Usage of Excel including Functions, Formulae and Analysis.
• Introduction to Oracle, RDBMS
• Various Tools to interact with Oracle Database.
• Overview of various SQL Languages (DRL, DML, TCL, DCL, DDL)
• Understanding the structure of Tables and Views.

 

Week-2:

• Getting started with Select Query to retrieve data from the database.
• Operators: 1. Arithmetic 2. Comparison 3. Logical
• Assessment-1

 

Week-3:

• Functions: 1. Single Row 2. Multiple Rows or Group Functions
• SET Operators: 1. Union All 2. Union 3. Minus 4. Intersect
• Integrity Constraints: 1. Not Null 2. Unique 3. Primary Key 4. Foreign Key 5. Check
• Creating Tables and Views and enforcing Integrity Constraints using DDL Commands (Create, Rename, Alter, Truncate, Drop)
• Inserting New Records, Updating Existing Records and Deleting existing records using DML Commands ( 1. Insert 2. Update 3. Delete )
• Saving Data permanently the Database using TCL Commands (Savepoint, Commit, Rollback).
• Viewing/Managing data from other users/Schema using DCL Commands (Grant, Revoke)

 

Week-4:

• Joins (Retrieving data from Multiple Tables) :
• 1. Cartesian product 2. Equi Join 3. Non-Equi 4. Self-Join 5. Outer Join ( Left/Right)
• Subqueries: Query inside a query 1. Single Row 2. Multiple Rows 3. Multiple Columns.
• Assessment-2

 

PL/SQL Course Contents:

 

Week-1:

• Overview of SQL
• DML Statements in SQL ( Insert/Update/Delete)
• TCL ( Commit/Rollback)
• PL/SQL Environment, Features, Advantages
• Writing Anonymous Blocks
• Incorporating SQL Statements in PL/SQL

 

Week-2:

• Using Attributes ( %TYPE, %ROWTYPE),
• Control Structures ( Conditional Control, Iterative Control )
• Exceptions (Predefined, Non-Predefined, User Defined)
• Assessment-3

 

Week-3:

• Cursors ( Implicit, Explicit Cursors, Cursor For Loop)
• Introduction to Sub Programs and Data Dictionaries ( User_Source / User_Objects)

 

Week-4:

• Procedures : Creating/Executing/Invoking/Calling.
• Functions : Creating/Using in Select Query and other Sub Programs.

 

Week-5:

• Packages (Package Specification, Package Body, Package Overloading) : Creating and Implementing
• Triggers : Creating and implementing
• Assessment -4
• Course Review

About the Trainer:
