Panshet Fireflies Trail and Camping

About the Event
Adventure Club Pune welcomes you to an unforgettable Panshet Fireflies Camping & Trail experience, perfect for families, couples, and solo travelers looking to connect with nature. Just a short drive from Pune, this scenic lakeside campsite offers panoramic views of the Panshet Dam, fresh air, and a magical atmosphere as fireflies light up the forest before the monsoon. This peaceful adventure includes tent stays by the lake, delicious homestyle Maharashtrian meals, group games, music, and a guided trail to observe fireflies in their natural habitat.
The 2-day experience begins with pickup options across Pune—starting from Seasons Mall, Magarpatta at 1:00 PM, and continuing through Viman Nagar, JM Road, Swargate, and Katraj. Self-drive participants are expected to reach the campsite directly by 4:00 PM, with Google Maps links provided for convenience. Upon arrival around 3:00 PM, guests can settle in, enjoy evening tea and snacks, and unwind while exploring the lush surroundings. The evening kicks off with BBQ, bonfire, music, and games, followed by a hearty dinner at 9:30 PM. Post-dinner, guests will drive (2 km) to a secluded forest area for a magical firefly spotting experience, guided by a local expert. After soaking in this spectacle, everyone returns to the campsite to rest in cozy tents under the stars.
Day 2 begins with an early wake-up call at 6:00 AM to witness the sunrise over the Sahyadri hills. A peaceful lakeside trek follows, allowing campers to explore the local flora and enjoy stunning mountain views. By 9:00 AM, breakfast is served at the campsite. The group then begins wrapping up, with departures back to Pune scheduled for 10:30 AM and farewells by 11:00 AM.
Participants are advised to carry valid ID proof, light clothing, extra clothes, towels, toiletries, power banks, mosquito repellent, torch/headlamp, and a small backpack. A light bedsheet or shawl is also recommended. Comfortable footwear is essential.
Camp rules include maintaining silence during firefly watching (no flash or loud noise), switching off music after 10:00 PM, respecting locals and fellow travelers, and following guide instructions. Any camp property damage will be chargeable. Firefly visibility depends on weather and season (best during May–June), and no refunds will be issued for non-sightings. Throwing garbage, loud music, or disruptive behavior is strictly prohibited. The trek leader’s decisions will be final, and Adventure Club Pune will not be responsible for injuries, illness, or medical emergencies; participants bear their own risk and expenses in such cases.
This adventure promises a perfect mix of relaxation, nature, and wonder, making it an ideal weekend getaway to reconnect with yourself and the outdoors—don’t miss your chance to be part of this glowing experience!
