About the Event
PRAKALP 2026 is a national-level innovation festival featuring two major opportunities for students across India:
- 24-Hour Hackathon
- National Project Expo
Both events are designed to identify, support, and reward emerging innovators, developers, and creators. Participants get the chance to build, showcase, and pitch their ideas in front of expert judges, mentors, and industry guests.

🧩 1. 24-HOUR HACKATHON
Overview
A high-intensity, 24-hour sprint where teams build functional prototypes or software solutions based on problem statements released at the event. Participants receive mentorship, access to resources, and a platform to pitch their final solution.
Eligibility
- Open to UG & PG students from recognized institutions
- Team size: 1–5 members
- All team members must belong to the same institution
Domains
- IoT Sprint
- Cyber Security
- AI Agents
- Embedded Systems (µC + Sensors)
Rules
- Problem statements are revealed at 10:00 AM on Day 1
- Teams must build their solution within 24 hours
- Internet, Wi-Fi, and basic hardware support provided
- Plagiarism or pre-built solutions are strictly prohibited
- All submissions must be original and built during the event
- Teams must participate in mentor check-ins every 4 hours
- Final pitch is mandatory for prize eligibility

Round 3: Mentor Evaluation
Round 4: Final Pitch + Demo

🧪 2. NATIONAL PROJECT EXPO
Overview
A showcase of 100+ innovative hardware and software projects across 10 domains. Participants present their prototypes, models, or software solutions to judges, visitors, and industry experts.
Eligibility
- Open to UG & PG students
- Team size: 1–5 members
- Each team may submit one project
Rules
- Projects must be original and developed by the team
- Working prototypes or demonstrable models preferred
- Teams must be present at their stall throughout the expo
- Live demo and Q&A with judges is mandatory
- Safety guidelines must be followed for hardware projects
Format & Process
Stall Setup: 9:00–10:00 AM
Live Demo: 10:30 AM–3:00 PM
Judging: 11:00 AM–3:00 PM
Awards: 3:00–4:00 PM
