The Mysterious World Of Bats - A speaker session with Rohit Chakravarty

 

 

रोहित चक्रवर्ती चमगादड़ों पर अपना रिसर्च करते हैं। वर्तमान में बर्लिन, जर्मनी में इंस्टीट्यूट फॉर ज़ू एंड वाइल्डलाइफ रिसर्च में पीएचडी कर रहे हैं। पिछले आठ वर्षों में, उन्होंने अंडमान द्वीप समूह और उत्तराखंड में चमगादड़ों का अध्ययन किया था। वे 'नेचुरलिस्ट्स गाइड टू द मैमल्स ऑफ इंडिया' पुस्तक के सह-लेखक भी हैं।

Rohit is going to talk about the 'Mysterious World of Bats' and he will touch upon bat biology and also why bats are bigger superheroes than Batman! An opportunity to listen to experiences from his fieldwork and know about the relationship of humans with bats.

चमगादड़ एकमात्र उड़ने वाले स्तनधारी हैं जो वाकई मे पर्यावरण के लिए काफी फायदेमंद है। ओर तो और वह ध्वनि के माध्यम से अपना रास्ता खोजने मे माहिर है। किंतु उनकी छिपी हुई दुनिया ने कई पीढ़ियों से इंसानों में अंधविश्वास और भय पैदा कर रखा है। कोरोना के चलते यह भय नई ऊंचाई पर है। A session to demystify many of the myths surrounding Bats.
