Ms. Kimi Dangor

Kimi Dangor is a fashion editor and consultant with over two decades of experience in the field. She has worked in leadership roles with some of India’s leading national and international publications and is a much sought out voice and opinion leader in fashion journalism.As a fashion chronicler and commentator, Kimi has been witness to the rise of the organized mainstream fashion industry and has had a front row seat to its growth story. She believes fashion is as much about style and ever-changing trends as it is about the cultural, sociological and anthropological study of people and the times they live in.

Apart from honing her journalistic skills at a reputed newsmagazine like India Today, Kimi has been a launch team member of the country’s first celebrity newsmagazine PEOPLE India (Time Inc. and Outlook Group) and contributor of note for publications like Vogue India, Hindustan Times Mint Lounge, Marie Claire, Grazia, Times of India, New Indian Express, Condé Nast Traveller, and Time Out, among others. Prior to this, she has made significant contributions during her stints at Indian Express and Mid Day.For her, fashion journalism has been about looking beyond the trends and focussing on people, ideation, innovation, India’s craft-rich legacy, and its new proponents – about documenting the human and humane side of fashion.

Currently based in Goa, Kimi is multitasking as a freelance writer and brand consultant, while brewing endless cups of Parsi ‘choi’, writing Haikus, and polishing her gardening and sketching skills.
