VAF Training Series on Research in Rural Development for Development professionals and Civil Society Organisations

COVID-19 pandemic has in a way pushed us to appreciate the potential of online means of knowledge sharing and learning. VikasAnvesh Foundation is glad to introduce a series of training modules which will be of direct relevance and practical utility to various professionals in the development sector. Research and evaluation studies on development activities play an important role in the process of the learning cycle that would help in reflecting upon projects implemented. It will provide feedback into designing and strategizing future projects. Possibility of specific learning and its validity depends on the design of methods, instruments and tools used for the study. A few key aspects of learning would be its relevance to planning, anecdotal or statistical significance, effectiveness in capturing and communicating the evidence, etc. Recent development in tools and techniques offer means to simplify the process of research and provide powerful platforms to understand and communicate the learning. With a focus on practical utility to civil society organizations and donor agencies, VAF has designed this series of training modules with an objective to simplify the process of evidence-based learning. The program intends to strengthen the skillsets of participants by training them to handle various open source software and online tools.
