Video editing courses are plenty in number but, the number of students who take up regular video editing courses are less in number. Most students tend to learn video editing through YouTube tutorials and from other demo sessions. Although this may seem like an easy and inexpensive way to learn video editing, this may not help completely. Video editing is not just about learning the editing software. It is more than that. It requires learning of the intricate rhythm of a film and cutting the shots accordingly. It requires the editor to understand the demand of the script and use cuts and transitions accordingly to bring the desired effect. Similarly, the editor needs to be able to visualise the end result i.e., the final film output. These are a few things that a YouTube tutorial cannot teach you. Hence, a professional video editing course is required. But not everybody has the time and money to take up a full-time video editing course.

Chennai’s Visualite Film Institute has now introduced a short-term video editing course for a period of 15 days, commencing from 16^th of March onwards. This course is open to all those who are interested in video editing. There are no restrictions for entry into this course.
